Remains of drowned Sabahan Army commando arrive in Sandakan for burial in Tongod

SANDAKAN: The remains of a Sabahan Army commando who drowned while training in Melaka arrived at the airport here tonight for burial. 

Lance Corporal Edrin Baintim's remains, flown by an Air Force plane from the Subang airbase, are expected to be laid to rest at his home village, Kampung Maliau, in Tongod.

Edrin, a member of the Army's Special Forces Group, was reported missing while undergoing diving training off Pulau Undan, Melaka, on Feb 7.

His body was found in a mangrove swamp at Kg Batu Laut, Tg Sepat, Banting, Selangor.
