RM67 million approved to upgrade 3.4km Kinarut road
Armizan, who is also Papar MP, said the upgrading of the 3.4km stretch would resolve the bottleneck problem endured by motorists, especially during peak hours.
PAPAR: The Federal Government has approved a RM67 million project to upgrade a 3.4km stretch from   Sabindo roundabout near Lok Kawi Heights roundabout to Kinarut River opposite Borneo Paradise Hotel, which is expected to greatly ease the traffic congestion problem in the area.

Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs and Special Tasks) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali who disclosed this Sunday, said the project is part of the Lok Kawi-Pengalat, Papar road upgrading project worth RM700 million that was cancelled by the previous government in 2018.

He said he managed to convince the Finance Minister, Economic Minister and Works Minister to reinstate the project, but to be implemented in phases.
