Dealers laud Electric Vehicles tax exemption
Tesla EV cars on sale in Sabah at Falida Gallery showroom.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah based electric vehicles (EV) dealers selling brands like Tesla, Volvo, with a waiting list queue for delivery, and others coming in the pipeline like BYD, laud the Madani Budget 2023 for its full import duty and excise duty exemption on imported CBU EV extended to Dec 31, 2025.

They believe this will encourage green-conscious consumers to seriously consider driving electric vehicles to cut down on pollution which contributes to global warming and the resultant adverse climatic effects that also affect Sabah and Malaysia.

Besides cost savings on higher fuel and maintenance costs for fossil fuel vehicles or internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
