Kuala Lumpur: The government continues to be reminded to fulfil all the demands contained in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) including the granting of the right to 2/5 or 40 per cent of the Federal Revenue Collection in Sabah.Member of Parliament for Tuaran, Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau said, if the matter had been implemented since the formation of Malaysia, there would not have been various issues of basic facilities including the water supply problem which he described as a curse to the people of Sabah.
“Quoting the words of Member of Parliament for Kinabatangan who is also the former minister responsible for water affairs in Sabah, the main problem facing this region is insufficient allocation, which is as much as RM23 - RM27 billion is needed for the purpose of a complete solution.
