TAMBUNAN: Kampung Sunsuron will host the Kaamatan Festival 2023 on April 1 at Dewan Datuk John Gaisah.

The meeting chaired by Sunsuron Area Development Officer, Jaikoh Gabi, unanimously chose Kampung Sunsuron to be the host.

Sunsuron comprising 11 villages held its first meeting to form a Festival Committee.

Also participating in the meeting were Keningau Parliamentary Development Officer/Tambunan Assemblyman, Saldivilla Wences and Administrative Officer of Tambunan Constituency, Caroline Louis.

The highlight event would be the Unduk Ngadau competition, Sugandoi, Songkotoun and Traditional Sports which would be held to select participants to represent Sunsuron at the district level.

In a meeting held separately, Kampung Patau was selected as host for Patau sub-district, Kampung Pahu for Kirokot sub-district, Kampung Tikolod for the Monsorulung area and Mogong village for Lintuhun area.
