RM500k boost for Universiti Malaysia Sabah special facilities

Kota Kinabalu: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) received an additional fund of RM500,000 to upgrade the university’s special needs facilities.Vice Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Kasim Mansor said UMS had dedicated Kolej Kediaman Tun Fuad for students with special needs, adding that the blocks for both male and female are equipped with disabled-friendly fittings.

“In addition, the Centre for the Management of Persons with Disabilities (PPOKU) together with the Department of Development and Maintenance (JPP) have also identified a number of locations that are needed to complement the facilities around the campus area.
