Her mother, Mariah Ammah, 37, said her daughter, Dayang Nurfateha Anum Jumlie, who is 11 months old, was diagnosed with the disease while in the womb.
The child is the first of Mariah and her husband, Jumlie Friday, 36, after nine years of marriage.
The couple also supported two of their 10 and 11-year-old nephews.
Jumlie worked as a technician.
Mariah said they had also registered their child at the General Welfare Services Department for the Disability Category.
