RANAU: An 18-year-old was rushed to the Ranau Hospital Thursday evening with an arrow stuck in his nose. Two Ranau Fire and Rescue Department personnel led by Hafizul Guntor Nordin helped remove the metal piece.

Ranau Fire and Rescue Station Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said a bolt cutter was used to cut and remove the arrow. According to Ridwan, the victim had earlier gone to spear fish at the Liwagu River using a makeshift arrow.

“While returning home, the victim accidentally slipped and somehow the metal piece used as an arrow for fishing got pierced through the bridge of his nose,” he said.
