Kota Kinabalu: Ramadan bazaar traders in Sabah are reminded not to arbitrarily increase food prices, in conjunction with the fasting month which begins next week, said Deputy Chief Minister III Datuk Shahelmey Yahya.

He said traders were also reminded to always ensure the food quality that is sold to the public is clean and safe to consume.

“With the holding of the Ramadan bazaar, the public are reminded to be smart consumers and to take care of their safety while visiting these bazaars, and traders must ensure reasonable food prices,” he said here, Friday.

Shahelmey said this to reporters at the launching ceremony of the RTM Ramadan Tour at the Ministry of Communications and Digital Complex, which was also attended by RTM’s Director of Radio programmes, Nor’ain Bakir.
