Donggongon to gain from temple tourism
The ‘Thai Pak Kung’ deity Temple (Vihara Thai Pak Kung Kulor) at Singkawang, West Kalimanatan, Indonesia which was visited by Sabah’s Thai Pak Kung devotees.
Kota Kinabalu: The Fook Tet Kung Temple in Donggongon will host the region’s Thai Pak Kung deity jamboree that will see Thai Pak Kung (Tua Pek Kong) temple delegates not only from Malaysia but also abroad.

Hence, the event will bring many visitors to Donggongon and boost the local economy for the duration of the celebration since the temple was opened on Jan 2, 2006, and boost tourist arrival figures for Sabah, particularly from Kalimantan to reciprocate Sabahan visitors’ journey to Singkawang in 2022.
