PETALING JAYA: Muslims in Malaysia will begin the fasting month of Ramadan tomorrow.
The announcement was made by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Syed Danial Syed Ahmad.
He said the date was set by the decree of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, for all states after receiving the consent of the Malay rulers.
Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
