ONE tradition that has always been a staple whenever Ramadan comes around is the food bazaar present in almost every neighbourhood in the country.
Popularly known as the Ramadan bazaar, it is generally a month-long food festival that attracts not only the Muslims looking for tasty fare for breaking fast but other Malaysians as well, all looking to sink their teeth into the most delicious comfort food in the country.
From “ayam percik” to “nasi kerabu” and “roti john”, such bazaars have offerings for all types of taste buds.
And one of the crowd's favourites is the “martabak” with various choices of fillings – vegetables, chicken meat or beef.
However, a social media user was not “vibing” well with the martabak he bought at a Ramadan bazaar, recently.
He took to Facebook to voice out his disappointment through
a couple of photos and a brief caption.
Through his post, it can be seen that one of the martabaks was burnt. He did not notice the burnt martabak as the seller had stacked the pancakes before packing them.
Upon reaching home, he was surprised to find the burnt martabak.
“What a challenge on the first day of Ramadan…if I curse, I would lose a good reward, but it is not worth it either if I return it. I will just munch them later during the breaking of fast,” said the Facebook user.
To date, the post received more than 4,000 reactions, and more than 800 comments as well as more than 600 shares.
