A TOTAL of 3,792 members from 75 branches of various political parties in the Lamag constituency in Kinabatangan announced their exit and joined Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

Lamag Community Development Leader Johainizamshah Johari said their decision to join GRS was made voluntarily and without coercion from any party.

“All the members expressed confidence in the current leadership under the Chief Minister because of the achievements,” he said in a statement after their joint declaration to join GRS at Dewan Sri Lamag, Kota Kinabatangan.

“This decision was made in the hope that political stability could be established and the agenda of restoring the rights of the people of Sabah would be fulfilled,” said Johainizamshah.

“We believe in Hajiji’s wisdom in developing Sabah under the Sabah Maju Jaya development plan and his leadership as Chief Minister based on his many achievements during his two years of governing Sabah,” he added.
