Thais show interest in Sabah International Expo

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah International Expo 2023 has attracted the interest of the Thai Government.The interest was expressed by Worawan Wanwil, the Minister Counsellor (Commercial) from the Office of Commercial Affairs, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, under The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, during his courtesy visit on the Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) at Wisma FSM in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), here, Thursday.

FSI President Richard Lim who is also the Co-Chairman of Sabah International Expo looks forward to the possibility of Thailand investors to explore trade and investment opportunities in Sabah.

Richard also suggest that the flight from Kota Kinabalu to Bangkok be resumed as it will enhance the trade relationship between both nations.

Meanwhile, Worawan also expressed interest in working closely with FSI. Worawan said the DITP looks forward to work with Richard on the Sabah International Expo, while the DITP is in favour to work out a collaboration of Thailand Festival in conjunction of Sabah International Expo.

Worawan also invited FSI to the upcoming Thai Food Expo (ThaiFex) 2023, in Bangkok. He also expressed interest on the coffee industry and want to participate in the Borneo Coffee Alliance (BCA) yearly Coffee Festival.

Meanwhile, FSI BCA Chairman, Dick Lee also shared the latest Coffee Festival information with Worawan and looks forward to further collaboration with Thailand Embassy.
