SIPITANG: Residents panicked when the Long Pasia River swelled and affected more than 30 houses in low-lying areas.A leader of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) Sipitang Division, Pius Ganang, said the situation became chaotic when houses, schools, Immigration office and churches were flooded.
Rain from early Friday afternoon until midnight submerged many low-lying areas in the interior district.
