Kota Kinabalu: Three Rahmah Ramadan bazaars (BRR) have been opened in three locations in Sabah for the duration of the fasting month, offering a selection of dishes at reasonable prices to the public.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) Sabah Director Georgie Abas said the BRR locations are Lintasan Deasoka, Kota Kinabalu; Juara Sport Arena Ketiau, Putatan; and opposite the Sabindo Plaza, Tawau.

He said BRR is the State’s new initiative to help lower the cost of living for the people by providing breaking of fast meals at reasonable prices.

“This includes encouraging traders to provide various concepts of food or products through the Menu Rahmah to visitors at the Ramadan bazaars this year,” he said in a statement, Monday.

He said among the criteria for BRR are locations with traders who offer Menu Rahmah, and places that are public focal points and promote Rahmah rental rates as well as appropriate for traders based on locality.

Georgie said the BRR initiative was implemented as a strategic collaboration between KPDN and local authorities (PBT) or the private sector without any cost implications for the Government.
