Kota Kinabalu: The Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa) Sabah wants the proposed Mazu Statue to be relocated to another site than near the Kudat District Mosque.“Before making statements that would cause worry, leaders who announced the revival of the proposed project should take into account the complaints raised by the Muslim community in Kudat 17 years ago,” said Perkasa Sabah Chairman Madsah Awang Aman.
He argued that the issue should not have arisen since the State Government provided an alternative site for the statue’s construction in 2011.
