Sandakan, Libaran party leaders join PGRS

SANDAKAN: Several Umno and Warisan leaders in Sandakan and Libaran areas announced their departure from their respective parties and joined Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.The announcement was made at a ceremony held at the Sandakan Hotel Ballroom, here, on Sunday.

Among them were former Warisan Sandakan deputy chief Muktar Odin, former AJK Warisan Sandakan Sahak Noh, former AJK Warisan Libaran Rosly Aziz, former Libaran Umno Youth information chief Hanif Ali and Warisan Sungai Sibuga PDM Mohd Raimi Said.

They all said the decision was made for the sake of continued development of the people and the State.

Amirshah, who was active in the political arena, once joined Umno before taking a short break in 2016 and resumed his career in politics after seeing the political atmosphere in disarray.

He was confident that the PGRS would be able to help the people as a whole.

On the number of Warisan and Umno members in the areas who joined PGRS, he said it could not be ascertained yet until its official formation.
