TONGOD: District councillors should not hold their titles for the glamour, rather they should be responsible in creating a first-class work culture, said Kuamut Assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah.“We don’t want to see the line-up of District Councillors this time just warming up the meeting bench, rather they need to act as main planners in producing excellent work,” he said during the swearing-in ceremony of Tongod District Council Members (2023-2025) and the handover of duties to the new District Officer at the District Council Hall here, Monday.

Masiung hoped the excellent performance of the District Council in the past would be maintained by the new line-up.
He said although the Tongod District Council was only established in 2018, it managed to collect more than RM3 million in funds.
