TAWAU: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya suggested to airlines to set a ceiling price for the air transport destination in Sabah to deal with the issue of skyrocketing ticket prices that happen every time the festive season arrives.According to him, the government had raised the issue of expensive ticket prices to the airlines so that there was a mechanism to control the transport fare so that it was not too extreme.
“From what I understand, the fare is based on an ‘automation programme’ which means that when the demand is too high, the price will go up.
