MANILA: The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) of Davao Region thanked Malaysia for the arrest and subsequent deportation of New People’s Army (NPA) leader Eric Casilao last Monday.Casilao is a ranking leader of Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
The arrest and deportation of Casilao has sealed the collapse of the New People’s Army (NPA) insurgency in the Davao Region, AFP spokesperson Col. Medel Aguilar said Tuesday.
