Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) appointed Datuk Stephen Teo as the association’s advisor.The certificate of appointment was presented by KKJA Chairman Jimmy Goh who thanked Stephen for his support to the association.
“Stephen’s presence in the KKJA will greatly improve the wellbeing of the association’s members and we can expect to be able to carry out more programmes with the community, as well as the public and private sectors,” he said.
Stephen is the Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) Acting Deputy President and also the Sabah Star Chinese Community Liaison Chairman. He is also a Sabah Rubber Industry Board Member.
Before focusing on his own business, Stephen was the Chief Executive Officer of a multinational company listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange.
Present were KKJA Deputy Chairperson Nancy Lai, Vice Chairman Peter Kwan Sui Wan, Secretary Teo Jinn Jiun, Treasurer Yvonne Ho, Liaison Officer Chu Ping Tyng, Welfare Officer Stephanie Lee, Training Officer Sherell Jeffrey and committee members, Lester Bingkasan, Yap Siong Han, Jeanne Lajiun.
