3rd China-Asean Youth Painting Exhibition

Kota Kinabalu: Children and youths are invited to join the 3rd China-Asean Youth Painting Exhibition. In line with its theme of “Paint a Rainbow of Friendship”, those participating in the competition are required to submit their works that should be positive and clearly themed on friendship, mutual assistance and joint efforts as well as win-win cooperation between China and Asean countries.

It is open to children (5-12 years old) and youths (13-22 years old), said a statement, Friday.

On the painting requirements, any form such as watercolour painting, gouache, traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, line drawing, printmaking, crayon painting, comics, etc is allowed, while the works should be themed on the event to be eligible for the competition and the specifications of works should be A3 to A4 open format, horizontal and vertical which are both accepted.

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
Five-hundred award-winning works will be evaluated, including 30 first prizes, 50 second prizes, 70 third prizes and 100 excellence awards set up in the youth group and children’s group, respectively, and electronic honorary certificates will be issued for these works.

The winning pieces will be exhibited in Guizhou, Guangxi and relevant Asean countries and the award-winners will receive an electronic album of the winning works as a souvenir.

The instructors of the first, second and third prize works will receive the “Excellent Instructor Award”, while the “Excellent Organisation Award” will go to individuals and teams that have devoted themselves to the promotion of the Exhibition and collection of artworks.

The copy of the paintings should be in colour, with a file size of 5-10M, resolution of 600dpi, in jpg format, document naming (Country-Province/State-City-Name-Age-Name of the work) and attached with the Registration Form for China-Asean Youth Painting Exhibition (Appendix 1) in Chinese or English.

The first and second China-Asean Youth Painting Exhibitions held in 2021 and 2022 attracted more than 70,000 participants from China and Asean countries. With their paintbrushes, they depicted the ever-changing development and changes taking place in China and Asean countries with an outlook for a bright future and advancement of the region.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the China-Asean Strategic Partnerships, the 20th anniversary of the China-Asean Expo and China-Asean Business and Investment Summit, as well as the 16th year of China-Asean Education Cooperation Week.
