Kota Kinabalu: Engineering businesses in Sabah have been urged to prepare for future government requirements by becoming familiar with Building Information Modelling (BIM) in various construction-related jobs.
“Despite various awareness campaigns on BIM technology, adoption remains relatively low in Malaysia when compared to foreign countries such as the United Kingdom,” said Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch Vice Chairman Tan KJ.
Tan said this in his talk titled “The application of BIM in the construction Sector” in conjunction with the Sabah Construction and Machinery Expo 2023, which was jointly hosted by Sabah Builders Association and Impact Zone Sdn. Bhd. held at the Sabah International Convention Centre last Saturday.
