Oil palm sector mishaps high
“Since the past four years, Sabah has been amongst the lowest in terms of (workplace) accident rates in the country. Hence, we need to maintain this performance whether in terms of accidents or death rates (at workplace),” Zulkifli said. - FMT pic for illustration only.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Department of Occupational Safety and Health (Dosh) urged employers to play their roles in providing safe and healthy work environment for workers, especially in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing and construction.

Its Director Zulkifli Yahya said the department had been keeping a close eye over the three sectors as they have shown to be amongst the industries with highest risk of occupational hazard that led to accidents or deaths.

“In Sabah, the riskiest industry is agriculture, followed by manufacturing and construction. For Dosh, we have always prioritised these three sectors to reduce accidents at workplace.
