KOTA KINABALU: A 26-year-old former Sabah rugby player was charged in the Magistrate's Court here with murdering his sister at Jalan Signal Hill here last week.
Arden Mattson Maturin was brought before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun on Friday.
Arden allegedly murdered Audrey Maturin, 24, between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on May 4, at Taman Prestij, here.
The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries the death penalty on conviction.
However, no plea was recorded from him after the charge was read out to him.
The Magistrate fixed June 14 for mention of the case.
Arden, who was not represented, was ordered to be further remanded as the charge against him has no provision for bail.
