Kota Kinabalu: Jetama Water Sdn. Bhd. (JWSB) a subsidiary of Jetama Sdn. Bhd. reinforced its continued commitment to high integrity by organizing a Corporate Integrity Pledge ceremony, together with the launching of its Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).
Anti-Bribery Awareness Program aims to spread awareness of bribery and corruption preceded the Integrity Pledge ceremony. JWSB’s Deputy Chairman, Dato’ Juhari bin Janan in his opening speech reiterates the company’s commitment to high-level integrity and its direction to be certified with the ISO 37001:2016 ABMS standards.
The Integrity Pledge ceremony was then conducted involving all levels of JWSB’s staff with the Deputy Director of MACC Sabah, Mr. Alexander S. Kunghi in attendance to witness the pledge followed by the signing ceremony.
Mr. Alexander S. Kunghi in his speech congratulates JWSB for its initiative to implement the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) and also emphasized that a continuous commitment from all parties including corporate citizens is crucial in the fight against corruption. Managers and Supervisors must play an important role in the prevention of corruption to ensure an exemplary legacy for the next generation. MACC is currently focusing its effort on three things, namely the leakage of public funds, procurement, and enforcement. Mr. Alexander also encourages the top management of Jetama Water to review and improve these three things to curb corruption and abuse of power.
JWSB’s Board of Directors Datuk Suman Yasambun, Mr. Edward Yong, and Mr. Mohamed Daud Abdillah, together with the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ahmad Naim bin Uddang and General Manager Mr. Jude Abel Logijin are also in attendance during the event.
A bribery awareness booth by MACC is also available during the event.
