Relocation of Indonesian capital to Nusantara and what’s in it for Sabah
Indonesian President, Joko Widodo has announced that the capital city of Indonesia would be shifted from Jakarta to Kalimantan.

Where Kalimantan is part of Borneo Island which comprises Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak) and Brunei.

About 75% of Borneo is occupied by Indonesia, 26pc by Malaysia and 1% by Brunei.

Looking into the market size between Kalimantan and Sabah, Kalimantan is four times bigger than Sabah, and the province of both North and East Kalimantan has higher per capita income than Sabah.
