Kota Kinabalu: The pending non-recognition of the Abaya attire once worn by Kadazan Dusun women as traditional wear by the State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) committee is receiving more criticism.
KDCA Ranau/Kundasang Women’s Council has demanded that the committee retract its recent statement not to recognis it as a traditional costume.
Its Chairperson Joaneseh James Ghani said such decision should not be made until ongoing research is completed.
