Kota Kinabalu: Making Sabah a popular adventure tourism destination is one of the identified key objectives under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development plan.
Sabah has a multitude of natural assets such as mountains, hills, islands, forests, and rivers, which allow for various activity-based tourism activities such as white-water rafting, diving, biking, hiking, jungle trekking, quad biking, birding, golf, and stargazing.
In addition, there is also Sabah’s crowning jewel, mountain climbing, with Mount Kinabalu as its hallmark, which also offers a via ferrata recognised as the highest in the world.
