LABUAN: Sabah-based Tan Sri Anifah Aman who was appointed Senator representing Labuan recently is now also Chairman of Labuan Corporation. PKR Chairman here, Simsudin Sidek, is the deputy.
Simsudin confirmed the appointments. “I received my appointment letter two days ago from Labuan Corporation and according to it Anifah is the Chairman,” he said.
They would serve a two-year term effective June 19, 2023.
“I thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his confidence in me and at the same time is of the view that Anifah is the right choice to lead the corporation given his impressive portfolio as a former Foreign Minister.
