Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Law Society (SLS) deserves full support for seeking a judicial review of the Federal government-gazetted Order “The Federal Constitution [Review of Special Grant under Article 112D (State of Sabah)] Order 2022”, said Parti Warisan Kota Kinabalu Secretary Loi Kok Liang.
He said this was crucial as Putrajaya’s move in April 2022 went against Sabah’s constitutional rights for a stipulated revenue (of 40pc) under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
“I noted that both the Federal and State governments had agreed to payment of annual grants for a period of five years starting from 2022 with the amount of RM125.6 million, then yearly with some increment.
