Kota Kinabalu: Former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee believes there is vast potential for cooperation between Sabah and China in various fields.He said in the early days, the main purpose of mutual visits between China and Sabah was to search for relatives and ancestral roots.
“Later, the people of both places started engaging in mutual tourism. As many visionary Chinese enterprises recognised the potential in Sabah, it led to the development of economic and trade cooperation between Sabah and China.
