PAPAR: The 38th National Chinese Cultural Festival, which Sabah is hosting, has a vital role to play in increasing tourism in the State.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah & Sarawak Affairs, and Special Duties), Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, said such festival provides many programs such as the Dragon Boat Race which invited international participants to compete with the locals.
He said the festival introduces the people to Chinese culture and fosters a deeper understanding on the diversity of Chinese culture, which is one of the largest races in the world as well as in the country.
