Police monitoring online child pornography crimes

PENAMPANG: State Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said Sabah police will actively monitor, conduct investigations and make arrests related to child pornography crimes in the State.

He said operations are being carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Sabah State Police Contingent Headquarters.

“There have been several arrests related to this issue in the State.

“The latest arrest involving child pornography was earlier this year in Putatan,” he told a press conference and said the statistics would be provided through a statement.

Earlier, Jauteh witnessed the handover of duties for the Penampang district police chief and the Police Family Association chairman of the Penampang District Police Headquarters (IPD), as well as inauguration of the open hall at the Penampang IPD, here.
