Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department recorded its biggest bust this year with 14kgs of syabu seized estimated to be worth RM840,000.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said 10 male suspects aged 17 to 40 years were arrested in four separate crackdowns in the Kinabatangan, Semporna, Inanam and Tuaran districts since July 3.
“Also seized were cash, jewellery, luxury bags and 11 cars worth RM1.2 million in total,” he told a press conference at the Sabah Police Contingent today.
“The suspects claimed to act as middlemen, saying they acquired the drugs from someone else before selling them off mostly to the local market.
“We are investigating the link and are actively hunting accomplices.”
