Agreement on mobile science displays in Sabah
Mohd Arifin said this would further empower science and technology education among students in Sabah. 
THE Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (KSTI) and the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in China to declare their collaboration on conducting mobile science exhibitions in Sabah.

KSTI Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, who witnessed the signing, said CSTM has agreed to host more than 50 mobile science exhibitions in Sabah for three years.

He said it would be implemented in six strategic locations, namely the State Libraries in Tanjung Aru, Beaufort, Tambunan, Ranau and Kudat as well as the U-Science Centre in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

Mohd Arifin said this would further empower science and technology education among students in Sabah.

“This effort is also one of KSTI’s initiatives to foster Sabahan youth’s interest in science and technology,” he said.

During the signing, KSTI was represented by Permanent Secretary Datuk Zainuddin Aman while CSTM was represented by the China Association for Science and Technology Secretariat Executive Secretary and CSTM Curator Yin Hao.

Also present were Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Science and Technology Association Vice President Na Xiang and Sanmugam Subramaniam, Charge d’Affaire of the Embassy of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of China.

Earlier, Ariffin and his entourage also had the opportunity to visit the Guangxi Science and Technology Museum to see for themselves the science and technology education materials for education in China.
