Fahmi slams English band over kissing fiasco during concert
In viral videos shared on social media, singer Matty Healy was seen telling the crowd the show was over as ‘we have been banned from Kuala Lumpur’.
PETALING JAYA: Communications and digital minister Fahmi Fadzil has hit out at English band The 1975 following the antics of its frontman during a concert at the Good Vibes Festival in Sepang last night.

Singer Matty Healy allegedly spoke out against Malaysia’s laws against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community and kissed his male bandmate in the middle of the show.

Healy also appeared to be drunk during the show, which was stopped halfway by the organisers. In videos that have been widely shared on social media, Healy told the crowd the show was over as “we have been banned from Kuala Lumpur”.

Fahmi expressed disappointment over Healy’s actions in a tweet, saying he was “very uncouth”.
