Kota Kinabalu: The State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill to take some RM833 million out of the consolidated fund to cover this year's additional expenditure.
The Supplementary Supply Enactment 2023 will enable the State Government take RM833,019,462 out of the consolidated fund.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who tabled the bill, said the additional fund is essential to smoothen the Government's administrative operations, especially for the fourth quarter of 2023.
He said the water supply problem experienced in almost the entire state is becoming more critical and requires an immediate solution.
