Kota Kinabalu: In efforts to resolve power supply woes, the Public Complaints Bureau (BPA) stepped up outreach measures with government agencies and GLCs to ensure all electricity supply and utilities are running properly.
Sabah Electricity Sdn Berhad (SESB) conducted joint inspections on rural road lighting at Kg Langsat in Melalap and Kg Pulong in Tenom, with the BPA and the Tenom District Office.
“Such action-orientated approach not only provides solutions and correct information on problems, but also forge closer ties between BPA, SESB, district office as well as complainants and residents,” said BPA Director, Clarence Runggi, who is also from Tenom.
He said the BPA-SESB inspection team will next visit Kg Tubuh in Kudat by the end of August.
He underlined the need to maintain readiness to quickly respond to public complaints on outages and other power supply problems.
Among those present were Sabah BPA Deputy Director, Bong Chow Liang, SESB KK Senior Manager of Customer Management Centre, Amir Mahat, SESB Manager for Tenom, Mohd Das Risin along with SESB Tenom and Melalap Chief District Officer Densely Justin.
Previously, the BPA-SESB cooperation also carried out site inspections at Kg Sendul in Ranau on July 4, followed by Taman Biah, Keningau, the next day.
