PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has urged Malaysians to unite and put aside their differences following the conclusion of the campaigning period for the six state elections.

“The campaigning period has ended, so let’s return to fostering relationships,” he said after casting his ballot for the Permatang Pasir seat in Penang today, according to New Straits Times.

He also urged the public to vote early and avoid any delays in fulfilling their civic duty, adding that the federal government will resume its operations tomorrow.

The Permatang Pasir seat will see a straight fight between Pakatan Harapan candidate Faiz Fadzil and Perikatan Nasional’s Amir Hamzah Abdul Hashim.
