LABUAN: Labuan International School emerged triumphant as it clinched the prestigious title of ‘Best in Student Achievement’ at the highly anticipated Private Education Excellent Awards 2023.
The gala event took place in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, where the crème de la crème of the private education sector gathered to celebrate outstanding contributions to education.
The Private Education Excellent Awards, an annual event that recognises excellence and innovation in the private education sector, brought together educators, school administrators, and stakeholders to honour institutions and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to shaping young minds.
LIS Principal Fadlin Aimuni Binting said the school’s remarkable achievement in winning the Best in Student Achievement category is a testament to its unwavering commitment to fostering holistic development, academic excellence, and character building among its students.
“The school’s innovative teaching methods, dedicated educators, and comprehensive curriculum have collectively contributed to the remarkable success of its students...we are incredibly honoured to receive this recognition for Best in Student Achievement,” she said to Bernama Friday.
Fadlin Aimuni said Labuan International School’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development is further underscored by its state-of-the-art facilities, personalised learning approaches, and a strong emphasis on fostering a global perspective among its students.
She added the Private Education Excellent Awards 2023 also showcased Labuan International School’s dedication to setting new benchmarks in the realm of private education.
“The award is also poised to inspire and set an example for other institutions to follow, as the private education sector continues to evolve and shape the leaders of tomorrow,” she said.
The annual event was organised by the Private Education Cooperative of Malaysia (EduCoop) and graced by Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (PAGE) chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim.
