Kota Kinabalu: City Hall is planning to set toilet cleanliness as a criteria for renewal of food premises business licence.
Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip said food premises’ toilets must receive at least four stars according to the star rating guidelines for public toilets.
The criteria is in line with the recommendations of the Local Government and Housing Ministry, she said during the launching of the campaign, to combat “Lilatin”, in Bandaran Berjaya.
“Lilatin” is abbreviation for cockroaches, flies, rats and mosquitoes in Bahasa Malaysia.
