Kota Kinabalu: MCA President Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong criticised SAPP President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee for looking down on peninsula-based parties while at the same time be in a coalition with peninsula parties at the national level.
“If you look down on the dignity of political parties from the peninsula, then why are you sitting in two ponds,” said Wee at the Sabah MCA Annual General Meeting, here, Sunday.
Wee’s criticism came in response to Yong for saying that non-Sabah based political parties should stay out in the next State elections.
He said Yong is with the opposition Perikatan Nasional (PN) at federal level while at the same time with the Sabah-based Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) at state level.
