Kota Kinabalu: Sabah will be represented by team 7Samudra at the MSSM (Malaysia School Sports Council) polo competition to be held at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre, Shah Alam in Selangor  starting on Saturday (August 26) until August 30.

Team manager Ivan Chu said the seven members of the team from five different schools are Jayden Foo (SM Tshung Tsin), Lee Yong Jie (SM All Saints), Iman B Azry Henry Sung, Edry B Azry Henry Sung (Maktab National), Eamonn Webber, Iverson Chin (KK High School) and Hector Koshy (SM Kian Kok).

According to him, the team will leave on Friday (August 25) and their target is for the players to get the necessary exposure and gain more experience.

He urged them to take advantage of the opportunity given to them with the setting up of the team.

“We want them to gain more experience and learn from their competitors. Don’t give up because we have fought hard to establish this water polo team as our ambition is to have more schools joining us,” he said.

Meanwhile, he expressed his gratitude to the State Education Department (JPNS), Darrell Webber & Associates and others for their support and sponsorship.
