SANDAKAN: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN) confirmed that the supply of sugar in the district is sufficient.
KPDN Chief Enforcement Officer, Azdy John, said this after his team inspected the sugar supply at the five main wholesale warehouses in the district to find out the actual data on the current sugar supply.
“The total supply of sugar at the five main wholesalers in this district is 508.7584 metric tonnes as of now,” he told the press after conducting the inspection, Monday.
He added that the sugar supply is able to meet the demand in the district and his team will constantly monitor the supply of necessities to make it easier for consumers to get supplies.
Meanwhile, he advised traders to comply with the rules set by the government and not to raise the prices of goods unnecessarily.
He informed consumers to buy according to their need and if there is difficulty to get supply, to contact KPDN Sandakan at 089-668107,” he said.
He warned traders and packers of basic goods in the district to carry out their duties in ethical and diligent manner.
