Sabah must capitalise on Aussie family market segment

MELBOURNE: Sabah must capitalise on its position as one of the most popular family destinations for the Aussie family market segment, says Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew.

She noted that Intrepid Travel has been supporting Sabah as a holiday destination through its strong Intrepid Malaysia, Sabah Office team based in Kota Kinabalu.

On the record, its “best selling” trips in Sabah are Borneo Family Holiday, Sabah Adventure and Classic Borneo.

Against this backdrop, Liew, who is leading a Sabah Tourism Board (STB) delegation to further promote Sabah in Australia, advocates collaboration with Intrepid Travel Australia that specialises in small group tours and adventure travel.
