It was attended by some 100 individuals, including members of the Sabah Christian Bumiputera, Sabah Chinese Coalition, Malaysian Hindu Sangam and Kinabalu Singh Sabha associations.

Officiating the event, Kinabalu Singh Sabha President Ram Singh said the associations represented a large number of non-Muslims in Malaysia.

Representing the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, its Permanent Secretary I, Isidore Malangking, believed such programmes would lead the country into becoming more open to religious diversity.
