LABUAN: Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) reiterates that the Labuan Corporation’s Licensing Section will approve the application of a new business licence or licence renewal within a week.

LCCC President Datuk Wong Kii Yii, who is also a Labuan Corporation Advisory Board member, said claims that it will take three to six months to apply for a new business licence or licence renewal is not true.

He said it will only take about one week to apply for a new business licence or licence renewal. 

“The Labuan Corporation will handle it appropriately regardless of whether the relevant buildings involved in the business location have occupancy certificates,” he said.

He added that if any merchant faces problems applying for or renewing a business license, they can contact him at any time (019-08821679).

He also advised professionals who cannot assist applicants to apply for business licences not to talk nonsense to avoid causing confusion.
