Man killed in Sipitang fire
The Sipitang fire.
SIPITANG: A 66-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Kampung Melaliah, here, Friday night.

The body of Wong Fook On was found in the kitchen of his house following the 7.30pm incident.

A Sabah Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received an emergency call at 7.39pm and a team of officers and personnel from the Sipitang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was immediately dispatched to the location some 13km away. 

The fire brigade immediately conducted firefighting operations using two hoses, each 91 metres long, drawing water from the fire engine’s tank, he said, adding the fire was extinguished by 8.05pm.
